It's Wed. Dec. 5th and due to the weather there are no classes this evening. This means you will not have an Easter Break. If you have to be out....please be safe.

Christmas and New Years break will begin Fri. Dec. 21st and run through Fri. Jan 4th. Classes resumes on Mon. Jan 7th. Enjoy everyday with your loved ones and we'll see you in Jan. of 2008.

Christmas parties will take place Mon. Dec. 17th-Thurs. Dec. 20th. Each child is asked to bring an exchange gift and a treat for their classmates. Class size and amount of exchange gift will be posted here at a later date. It is posted now at the studio. If your child does not bring an exchange gift, were sorry they cannot participate in the exchange.

I'm typing from a computer in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Citiline , Philadelphia. It's Wed. Nov. 21st and we're getting ready for our practice tonight in the Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Make sure you tune in, 9am channel 4, WTAE . Have a great Turkey Day, GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE !!!!

19 members of The Dance Co. will perform in Boscov's Thanksgiving day parade in Philly. It will be on channel 4 starting 9am Thanksgiving Day.

Thanksgiving break begins Tues. Nov. 20th and continues through Mon. Nov. 26th. Classes resume on Tues. the 27th. Have a GOBBLY good holiday!

If bad weather is forcasted for our area, please check this site or call the studio at 724-838-7570. The voice message will let you know if classes are cancelled.

Our fundraiser tickets have been passed out. Please have them sold and returned by Nov. 1st. This money helps us do all the wonderful work we do at our recital. Let's get a great turnout for this, and maybe can raise over $5,000. at the recital. thanks

Halloween parties will take place wed. Oct. 24, Thurs Oct. 25th, Mon. Oct 29th, Tues. Oct. 30th. There is no classes on Wed. the 31st. Your child is to dress and bring a treat for the other kids in their class. Class sizes are to follow.

We will be collecting donated clothing items at The Dance Co from Wed. Sept.12 through Sept. 24th. For every donation you make The Bon Ton will give you a 20% off coupon to be used at any time. So clean out those clothes you haven't wore in months and at the same time help someone else.

The following groups will be performing Sat. Sept. 22 in Jeannette at 6:15pm . Big tap, candyman, 30 days, acky breaky, emily & mikayla, Courtney fink. practice will be the week of during class time. Acky breaky will be that Sat. at the studio at 3:00pm.

I ask you arrive at the main stage at 12:15, so we can walk through stage formations. please arrive as dressed as you can be in your costumes. thanks!!!!

the following #'s will perform on sat Sept. 8th at 1:00pm at Hempfield park on Rte. 66 candyman, turn the beat around, courtney fink, 30 days, acky breaky heart, cleanin up the town. All dances will practice during their first class, except for Acky breaky it will practice the Sat. of the show at the dance co at 11:00am.

The following numbers will be performaning at Hemp. Park on Sat Aug. 8th at 1:00pm. Candyman, Cleanin up the town, Ackybreaky Heart, Courtney Fink, Turn the Beat Around & 30days. Practice will be posted the first week of dance so PLEASE check the board.

On Sat. Aug. 18th two numbers from The Dance Co. will be performing at Westmorland Mall. They will be an intermission break at a fashion show for Rue21. If your available please come to the mall at 6:00pm by JC Penny to help cheer on Courtney Fink & our Candyman tap.

Well we're back from Walt Disney World, Florida. The kids performed beautifully, and we are all extremely proud.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our fundraiser for Children's a great success . We raise $4,300.00. I'm sure it will come into great use. From the top of my "q-tip" head to the bottom of my pointed toes....thank you!

Well it's Sunday July 1, 2007. Which means we made it through Friday! As I type I still get teary eyed. First for the girls that graduated, I will miss them terribly. Second, the pride I feel for helping raise over $4,200.00 for Children's. Last but not least, I am so proud of all the kids. Through the year we watch kids come in a little shy, then a little outgoing, then seeing what I saw on Friday, kids that loved being on that stage. Nothing gives me more happiness then a child coming off stage, beaming with pride, knowing that they did great. Life could not get any better than that!

Well it's 12:08am offically making it Thurs. the 28th, meaning it's rehearsal day. YEAH!!!! please make sure you have everything you need. Come smilin' the fun is about to start. See you in 16 hrs.

Our annual open house and fall registration will take Sat. Aug. 11th from 11:00am-4:00pm. New to The Dance Co. this year is the addition of Bell's School of Irish Dance. They will hold classes at the Dance Co. on Sundays. If you would like any info. please call the studio at 724-838-7570 and we can get you in contact with Bell's.

With only 2 weeks until rehearsal day here are a few things that might help you. Make sure you know which pantyhose you need, how your hair is to be fixed, which shoes, bows or any other accessories you'll need. Make sure your alterations are done, if you needed them (ie) attach straps, bows, etc.). Put your child's initials in all of his/her pieces. This helps in case they are missplaced. If you are ordering a dvd place that order in the office. Get your tickets before rehearsal, espically if you received a voucher. Get your camera ready. For those children who are dancing for the 1st time and those who are dancing for their last, BUY KLEENEX! Don't forget our auction for Children's Hospital of Pitts. We will be selling raffle tickets rehearsal night also. We are up to over 50 great baskets!!! So get your rabbit's foot ready! Good Luck! You can pick up your picture orders any Tues. or Thurs. in July between 4:00-8:00pm starting the 3rd week of July.

We have changed the starting time of the recital on Fri. June 29, 2007. The recital will start at 6:30pm, instead of 7:00pm. This means the doors will open at 5:30 instead of 6:00.

This year, like several in the past, we are raising money for a w orthy organization. this year we have chose Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, specifically The Steven Schneider Family Fund, this fund helps families, in their time of need, with lodging, transportation, petty cash and any other out of pocket expenses. We pick this fund because there are very few exceptions. They will help in or out patients, out of town or local residents, from the smallest elements to the largest. If you or someone you know is interested in helping by volunteering or donating please call Susan at 724-838-7570 or Cindy at 724-837-5407. Let's work really hard to raise over the $5,100.00 we raised last year. With your help we can.

This year's recital theme is " Christmas". We are showing a Christmas/winter slide show of pictures of the kids at the beginning of the show. Please if you haven't turned in your picture do so ASAP. Your children will love seeing themselves on the big screen.

Recital tickets will be on sale the second week of June. If you sold all of your fundraiser you are in titled to a "ticket voucher", available the first week of June. This voucher entitles you to purchase tickets for $8.00. You can use this voucher up until Wed. June 28 Th . Tickets purchased without vouchers or at the door the night of the show will be $10.00

The recital has been set for Friday June 29 Th , 7:00pm. The rehearsal will be Thursday June 28 Th both at Gbg . Salem High school. There is a "recital news" letter available at the studio. It gives you all the information you will need. make sure you get yours today!

Well we're three days in to picture week and all is well. Everyone has looked great!! Don't forget on Mon. May 21st through Wed. May 23rd you can view and order your proofs at the studio between 6-9pm. There is no need for an appointment. You must pay at the time of ordering.

The recital date ha been request for Friday June 29th, 2007 with rehearsal Thursday June 28th at Greensburg Salem High School. We are just waiting for the final approval.

This week The Dance Co. lost one of its past members, Amy (R ighino ) Mullaney , 29 lost her five year battle with Brain cancer. After not seeing her in years, her family looked the same but she was unrecognizable . It makes me wonder why things happen the way they do. She leaves behind her mother, father, two sisters and many extended family. But most important she leaves behind her husband Michael and their 8 month old son. So I ask you say a small prayer for her family and a little boy who will only know his mother through his dreams.

The following are dates for Tues., Wed., and Thurs. make up days. Thurs. April 5th, 2007, Tues. April 10th, 2007 and Wed. classes will be made up on Fri. May 25th, 2007. All classes are at their regular scheduled times. This means none of these class days will have an Easter break. Sorry.
